The 1336-BDB-SP17D PCB Gate Driver Board is designed for use with specific industrial drives and is positioned directly beneath the main control board of these drives. Its primary function is to amplify low current inputs from the power supply board of the base driver board. The gate driver board operates at an input voltage of 460V AC (3-phase), and has a power rating of 40HP.
This board features 7 jumper connectors, labeled J2, J6, J7, J8, J9, J10, and J13, which are used for connecting to the drive’s main control board. Additionally, the board has terminal blocks labeled T4, T6, and T7, with TB4 serving as a 24V DC auxiliary input.
Installation of the 1336-BDB-SP17D gate driver board involves several steps:
Attach the board to the standoffs.
Secure the board to the main mounting plate by turning the 8 standoff screws ¼ turn clockwise, with a torque of 26lb-in (3N-m).
Connect the jumper connectors (J2 through J13) to the board.
Attach the main control board (with the gate driver board) to the drive and power on the system.
To ensure proper functionality, the board is tested using a test meter. Fuses F1 and F3 on the board are checked for open conditions. The board is also evaluated in diode mode, with readings on VR1 through VR6 compared to standard reference values.
