The 1336-L7E control interface board is an industrial interface option designed for precise control and feedback applications. It features TTL contact closure with encoder feedback inputs and is compatible with specific programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including models equivalent to the 1771-OYL and 1171-OZL. This interface board is intended for use with adjustable frequency AC drives from the 1336 IMPACT series. To enable the encoder mode on the board, ensure an appropriate L option board is securely connected to the J7 and J9 connectors on the lower part of the control board. Before performing any procedures, verify that the DC bus voltage has fully discharged by measuring the voltage across the positive and negative terminals of the TB1 terminal block.

The 1336-L7E interface board allows for optional control wiring configurations tailored to specific drive applications. The circuits interacting with this board must support low=true logic, capable of sinking approximately 10 milliamps and pulling the low terminal voltage to 3 Volts DC or lower. Reed-type input devices are recommended for such configurations. When the TB3 terminal is true, the contact input of the interface closes.

The board offers 7 user-configurable inputs and 2 pre-defined control inputs. It includes components sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Proper ESD control procedures must be followed during installation to prevent component damage. During troubleshooting or repairs, ensure all power supplies are fully disconnected to eliminate the risk of electric shock. Using an encoder is strongly recommended when the 1336 IMPACT series drives are applied in hoist systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
