The 1734-OW4 is a POINT I/O module designed for discrete output applications, featuring four single-pole, single-throw (SPST) normally open (N.O.) relay outputs. These voltage-free contacts support operating voltages of 5-30 VDC, 120 VAC, and 250 VAC. With its compact design, the module is ideal for distributed I/O architectures and can be installed on a DIN rail, utilizing terminal bases such as 1734-TB, 1734-TBS, 1734-TOP, or 1734-TOPS for wiring and power connections.
This module has an ON-to-OFF signal transition delay of 26 milliseconds and an initial contact resistance of 30 mΩ. It requires 80 mA POINTBus current for operation, with a power dissipation of 0.5 W and thermal dissipation of 1.7 BTU/hr. The module is compatible with a variety of communication adapters, including Ethernet, ControlNet, and ProfiBus, enabling integration into automation systems and communication with partner controllers to execute control sequences. Additionally, it can be combined with other POINT I/O modules to meet specific I/O requirements.
The 1734-OW4 operates within a temperature range of -20 to 55 °C (-4 to 131 °F) and has a storage temperature range of -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F). It supports relative humidity levels of 5-95% non-condensing. The module has a contact rating of 120-240V AC at 2A, with an isolation voltage of 250V tested at 2550V DC for 60 seconds between the field and system as well as between contact sets. The maximum switching frequency is one operation every three seconds, with an electrical contact life expectancy of 100,000 cycles, depending on the load.
