The 1746-IV16 is a single slot wide module that directly installs to any available slot of the 1746 chassis. It may be used as a local I/O module or remote I/O module. It comes with a 16 LED status indicators, each assigned to monitor the state of the input channels.
The 1746-IV16 module comes with removable terminal blocks, eliminating the need to disconnect any of the wires and making module replacement easy. It also includes filter circuitry and optical coupling for signal noise reduction. The 1746-IV16 module input values can be easily accessed by SLC 500 processors that use Ladder Logic programming.
