It is a single-slot module that is installed to a 1747 chassis. The module comes with individual port isolations such as 500 Volts DC between backplane to. The 1747-KE can be used as an interface device by connecting remote DH-485 networks to a central host by a modem. The module features two LED indicators, FAULT and COMM, which indicate internal faults and communication status, respectively. The 1747-KE has several useful features. The module can be installed in any slot of the SLC 500 modular chassis.
