The 1756-A17 is a modular chassis designed to accommodate a variety of industrial control modules, including processors, I/O units, and other specialized components. This chassis supports the integration of these modules by providing a backplane that connects and distributes bus power across the system's components.
With a power consumption of 1.5 A at 1.2VDC, 4A at 3.3 VDC, and 15A/6A at 15A/6A, plus 2.8 A at 24VDC, this chassis offers robust power handling capabilities to ensure reliable operation. The chassis dimensions require a minimum space of 76.2 x 91.4 x 20.3 cm (30 x 36 x 8 in.), and it includes 10 mounting tabs for easy installation on an enclosure subpanel.
For optimal setup, when placing multiple chassis units in proximity, the required space for clearance is as follows: 10.2 cm (4.0 in.) to the left side, 7.7 cm (3.0 in.) to the right side, 15.3 cm (6.0 in.) of top clearance, and 5.1 cm (2.0 in.) of bottom clearance.
