The 1756-CN2RXT ControlNet Interface supports a total of 99 nodes and 131 connections –128 standard Logix connections plus 3 reserved for redundant control. Because these are reserved, the 3 connections will always appear in use even when they are open. The module comes with a communication rate of 5 Mbps, current draws of 1300 mA at 5.1V DC, and of 3 mA at 24V DC.
The 1756-CN2RXT is a redundant media, ControlNet communication bridge module where controller-to-controller interlocking and I/O updates always take precedence over messaging and program uploads and downloads. It is part of the ControlNet Communication Module series and is ideal for applications that require the use of 128 ControlNet connections per communication module.
