It is part of the ControlLogix series and supports Remote I/O and Data Highway Plus (DH) protocol. The module has two ports that can be individually selected for DH+ or Remote I/O communication. The communication rate for DH+ is 57.6 Kbps. The module can act as a scanner by using Remote I/O capabilities and exchanging discrete and block transfer data within remote I/O devices.
