1756-ENBT Ethernet Communication Module
The 1756-ENBT Ethernet/IP Bridge Module is designed to transfer large volumes of data via an Ethernet connection. This copper communication module supports 64 TCP and 128 CIP connections and offers communication speeds of 10/100 Mbps. It facilitates high-speed processor interlocking, distributed I/O control, and routing to devices on different networks using the Ethernet/IP protocol as the backbone. These features simplify network architecture by consolidating communication within a single network, reducing the need for multiple networks, and minimizing maintenance and support costs.

Additionally, the module is web-enabled, providing users with access to internal diagnostics such as IP traffic, connection management, and collision histograms through a standard web browser. It also offers detailed information including the module revision, IP settings, uptime, and diagnostic details. The module draws 700 milliamps at 5.1 Volts DC and 3 milliamps at 24 Volts DC, with power dissipation of 3.7 Watts and thermal dissipation of 12.6 BTU/hour. It can function as a Remote I/O Adapter in a remote chassis, enabling users to remotely collect and configure data or control various modules. The 1756-ENBT is backward compatible and does not feature rotary switches.
