The 1756-M1/A is a Series A memory board designed for use in specific 5550 controllers, including models such as 1756-L1, 1756-L1M1, 1756-L1M2, and 1756-L1M3. This memory board offers 512 Kbytes of expansion memory and features an open-style enclosure. Only one memory board can be installed per controller. When installing the memory board into the chassis, it is recommended to use a grounding wrist strap and a #2 Phillips screwdriver for safety.
The operating temperature range for the 1756-M1/A memory board is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, while its storage temperature range spans from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. It can function in environments with a relative humidity range of 5% to 95%, as long as the humidity is non-condensing. The memory board can also withstand vibrations of up to 2 G from 10 to 500 Hz, with an operating shock tolerance of 30 G and a non-operating shock tolerance of 50 G.
The 1756-M1/A memory board meets Group 1, Class A emission standards and has an ESD immunity of 6 kV for indirect contact discharge and 8 kV for air discharge. Its radiated RF immunity is specified as follows: 10 V/m at 1890 MHz with a 200 Hz 50% pulse and 100% amplitude modulation, 10 V/m at 900 MHz with the same pulse and modulation, 10 V/m with a 1 kHz sine-wave at 80% amplitude modulation from 80 to 2000 MHz, and 1 V/m with a 1 kHz line-wave at 80% amplitude modulation from 2 to 2.7 GHz.
