1756-RM2XT is an enhanced redundancy module for the ControlLogix system. It is designed to work with two ControlLogix controllers to provide redundancy, monitors the status of the two controllers and switches the I/O connections to the backup controller if the primary controller fails. It has a maximum backplane current of 1.5 A/1.5 A at 1.2V DC and a maximum power dissipation of 4 W. It is compatible with the ControlLogix backplane and can be installed in any slot of the chassis. It has a higher crossload speed than the 1756-RM2 module when used in conjunction with a 1756-L7x controller.
