The 1757-FIM ProcessLogix Fieldbus Interface Module (FIM) is a solid-state electronic device used for interconnecting an H1 Foundation Fieldbus network into an PLC Logix system. The FIM serves as the communication gateway between the Supervisory ControlNet/Ethernet network the or I/O ControlNet network and the Foundation Fieldbus H1 communication option.
The recommended cable for connecting Foundation Fieldbus devices to the 1757-FIM ProcessLogix Fieldbus Interface Module is #18 AWG (0.8 millimeters square) shielded, twisted-pair wire.
