All MicroLogix 1500 programmablecontrollers provide several communicationoptions to fit into a variety of applications.The addition of a second full-functionRS-232 communications port enables twonumbercommunication devices to be connectedto the controller simultaneously The DFl Full-Duplex protocol allows theMicroLogix 1500 to communicate directlywith another device, such as a personalcomputer or an operator interface device.The DF1 Full-Duplex protocol (alsoreferred to as DFl point-to-pointprotocol) is useful where RS-232 point-to-point communication is required.

– Basic Logic: Relay or opto outputs controlled by status of digital inputs programmed as “Logic Inputs.” Performs basic Boolean logic.
– StepLogic: Logic-based steps using preset speed settings. Each step can be programmed for a specific speed, direction and accel/decel profile. Drive outputs can be used to indicate which step is being performed.
