It allows CompactLogix customers to reuse their 1769 I/O when migrating to next-generation CompactLogix controllers, while keeping the investment of 1769 I/O. The 1769-AENTR supports up to 30 Compact I/O modules as remote I/O and communicates to Ethernet/IP. It has two Ethernet ports for both DLR and linear topologies, and an I/O packet rate of up to 10,000 pps.
