It is designed to reserve a slot in the 1769 chassis for future expansion. The module has a current draw of 60 mA at 5V DC and a maximum heat dissipation of 0.3W. It has a power supply distance rating of 8 and weighs approximately 0.62 pounds. The 1769-ARM is electronically protected to ensure reliable operation in harsh environments. It allows any I/O module in the system to be removed and replaced with a 1769-ARM.
