The 1771-IK module is a counter and encoder module for PLC-5 systems. The module supports 1 counter. The encoder supports dual channels and the counter supports 1 channel. The supported peak input pulse rate is 50 kilohertz. The 1771-IK module supports both the block transfer and single transfer modes. The module requires an external power supply rated for 12 to 24 Volts DC. The input circuits require a maximum current rating of 170 milliamps and the output circuits require a maximum current of 1.08 Amps.
The device driving the input terminal must be capable of sinking 10 milliamps of current for a 12 Volts DC external power supply.
