The 1771-WS weigh scale module’s main function is to receive and read values from one or more industrial load cells. When an external power supply is installed, this module can be used with up to 8 load cells. The mechanism that is used is based on the reception of calibration values from the data table. Once received, these values are block-transferred by the module to a PLC-5 processor.
The 1771-WS weigh scale module is highly affected by electrostatic discharge, and under circumstances where electrostatic discharge is present, users need to make sure to handle the module from the front while using an approved wrist strap grounding device or after having touched a grounded object in order to discharge themselves of static before starting the installation process.
