The 1775-S5, -SR5 scanner has four communication channels to
communicate with any of the following:
-
I/O adapters (cat. no. 1771-AS, -ASB)
-
node adapter devices
-
a scanner in a backup PLC-3 or PLC-3/10 processor
-
PLC-5 products in adapter mode
-
up to six PLC-3 or PLC-3/10 processors
On channel 4, you can communicate with these additional devices:
-
up to 64 stations on a DH or DH+ link
-
a programming terminal
In the following chapters, we describe how to configure and operate these
channels. Table 1.A summarizes the operating features and functions.
The 1775-S5 is a communications module that is a member of the PLC3 module series.
The operating specifications of the 1775-S5 are rated at 6 Amps and 5 Volts DC, making it suitable for
a diverse range of applications and purposes. The main purpose of PLC3 modules is
effective communications and the 1775-S5 is a great device for that purpose. Since all the communication
modules are tested and trial run within a closed loop, error-free communications are ensured. The 1775-S5
is an advanced version of similar products; it has the ability to adjust and expand based on the needs of a
system. This series has other utility models for communications, scanning, power supplying, and memory
storage needs. The microprocessor of the 1775-S5 is easily one of the most effective and advanced pieces
of tech available in the market. The strength of the model is one of the major factors in the error-free data
transfer that becomes possible with the use of the 1775-S5.
