This 1785-V40V PLC-5 VME processor comes from the factory with a 48K word SRAM, a total of 1920 I/O, 1920 Analog I/O, 4 DH+/Remote I/O channel, and 1 RS-232C channel. The PLC-5 VME processors are easy to mount in a standard 6U (full-height) VMEbus chassis just by inserting them into 2 slots.
The main difference between it and the 1785-V40V PLC-5 VME processor is that it does not need a standard PLC chassis but a VMEbus chassis, but otherwise this PLC-5 processor looks similar to other computer PCBs and it allows a computer system to have access to programmable logic controller functions in an industrial setting like other processors.
