The 1794-IE12 is a high-density analog input module designed to interface with a variety of analog devices such as transmitters, indicators, recorders, single-loop and multi-loop controllers.
This module features twelve (12) analog input channels that can be configured for input signal types including 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, ±10 VDC, and 0 to 10 VDC. It incorporates an integrated analog-to-digital conversion system using the successive approximation method, offering a resolution of 320 µV/count for voltage and 0.641 µA/count for current. Analog data is formatted in a 16-bit left-justified register, with a conversion rate of 8.0 milliseconds across all channels. The module delivers an absolute accuracy of 0.1% of full scale at 25 °C for both voltage and current inputs, with an accuracy drift of 0.004% of full scale per degree Celsius.
The 1794-IE12 is compatible with the 1794-TB3G and 1794-TB3GS terminal bases, requiring only one terminal base per module. Installation to the terminal base is guided by the keyswitch setting, which is factory-positioned at 3 to ensure proper module placement and prevent incorrect configurations.
