The backup processor instantaneously begins to execute the process control application program and broadcast information over the Ovation network.

Ovation controllers use a continual process of control memory updating to keep both the control and backup processors synchronized. This allows the algorithms to track the output values, pass the information upstream and apply the data during the first pass of execution.
