The 2711-K5A1L1 is an obsolete operator interface terminal, also known as a Human-Machine Interface (HMI), designed to enable users to input essential data and commands into a system. This terminal features a battery-backed real-time clock that timestamps critical user data. Its support for up to 46 languages and a clear blue LCD screen ensures user-friendly data input. The display is a 5.5-inch monochrome screen illuminated by a replaceable LED backlight with an average lifespan of approximately 100,000 hours. User input is facilitated through a stainless-steel domed membrane numeric keypad and function keys labeled F1 to F10.
This interface includes multiple communication ports, such as a Remote Input/Output (I/O) port that supports both block and discrete data transfer. It also features an RS-232 printer port that requires the use of specific communication cables, such as the 2711-NC13. The device operates on an input power range of 18 to 30 Volts DC, consuming a maximum of 18 Watts (0.75 Amps at 24 Volts DC). The memory capacity includes 170 kilobytes of application runtime memory and an additional 240 kilobytes of Flash memory for storing bitmaps, text, and application objects.
