Mechanical Specification
What is the different of UL and RU certification?
The SMT-012-060VTSP triac dimmable led driver has got UL, CE, ROHS, FCC, Class2, Class P, Type HL. But you will ask are there any different between UL approval and RU approval?
1. The RU certifiation refers to the semi-finished product certification, and UL listed refers to the finished product certification. Different test standards have different requirements forled driver, so the corresponding certification costs are also different.
2. RU is not particularly useful, it's much more limited than UL listed. RU listed power supply can only be sold to the factory, which cannot be sold to consumers, because it is a semi-finished product and can only be sold after it is installed in led lighting. As for UL listed power supply, they can be sold to the factory or to the consumer, with an unlimited range.
