The 3300 XL 8 mm proximity sensor system includes:
One 3300 XL 8 mm probe,
One 3300 XL extension cable, and
One 3300 XL proximity sensor.
The output voltage provided by the system is proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface. This system can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The primary applications of this system include vibration and position measurement for fluid film bearing machines, as well as key-phase reference and speed measurement.
The 3300 XL 8 mm system offers state-of-the-art performance. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully meets the mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability standards of the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670.
All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity sensor systems deliver this level of performance and support the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor sensor without the need for matching or bench calibration. Each component of the 3300 XL 8 mm sensor system is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm sensor system components. This compatibility includes 3300 5 mm probes for applications where the 8 mm probe may be too large to fit within existing installation spaces.
