Platinum labware has excellent resistance to acids such as acetic,
hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, hydroiodic, nitric, selenic, and sulfuric,
and to oxidation at high temperatures. Dishes of platinum can be cleaned
by boiling in a suitable solvent. For the removal of substances which
