The 991-05-50-01-00 991 thrust transmitter is primarily used by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, or fans. It provides a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional axial displacement (thrust) signal as an input to the control system. The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that can accept input from a 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cables (available in 5-meter and 7-meter system length options). The transmitter converts the signal into an appropriate engineering unit proportional to the axial position of the shaft and provides a 4 to 20 mA industrial standard signal for input to the control system, where it is used for mechanical protection alarms and logic.

The 991-05-50-01-00 991 transmitter has the following notable features:
