An external shunt resistor kit (1394-SR10A) is available for 5 and 10 kW systems with regenerative loads that exceed the capacity of the internal 200W shunt resistor provided. Most 5 and 10 kW systems will not require a shunt resistor kit. All 22 kW 1394 based products require an external shunt module (1394-SR9Ax or 1394-SR36Ax). This includes both 1394 and 8520 catalog items.
