The PLC 1746-HSRV is a Servo Control Module for SLC 500 systems. This module supports PLC 1386, 1388, 1389, 1391,1392, 1394, and 1398 servo drive systems and PLC 845H encoders. The 1746-HSRV is compatible with SLC 5/03 FRN 5. The unit can be configured with up to 16 separate blend motion profiles to command from 2-32 segments. It can process binary, integer, and floating-point data that is compatible with the SLC processor files. Once the SLC Processor is initiated, block execution is independent of the scan time of the processor.
The 1746-HSRV features 3 fast inputs and 1 fast output. It has a 32-bit positioning range for complex movements. Interfacing with servo drives is performed with Analog velocity command and programmable limits. The unit interfaces directly with +5 or +15V encoders.
The 1746-HSRV must have a user-side power supply that meets the specifications of a NEC class 2 power supply. The power supply must have +5V, ±15Vcapacity, and +24V capacity for fast I/O and Estop circuitry. The 1746-HSRV must be grounded before installing the rest of the system. Shielded cables are recommended to block electromagnetic noise. Additionally, to protect against heat and electrical noise, the SLC Servo Module should be as far away as possible from DC and AC I/O modules.
