The PLC 1746-ITB16 is an SLC 500 Digital DC Input Module. The 1746-ITB16 is a fast response DC sinking input module. This module is equipped with the capability to support a voltage range of 10-30V DC. There are 16 inputs and 16 points per common on the module. Built for fast response applications, the 1746-ITB16 operates efficiently and rapidly. The input module receives and stores analog data in digital format within its data image table. This allows all other fixed and modular SLC 500 processors to retrieve the data. The 1746-ITB16 supports up to eight separate actuators or sensors for a variety of applications to be connected. The input module saves cost and space by using a sharing-based hardware platform with a variety of analog and digital input/output combinations. A convenient feature of the 1746-ITB16 is the removable terminable blocks which allow you to configure your system without re-wiring. The input module also features LED indicators which display the status of the module’s input to make troubleshooting easier. It can be accessed using Ladder Programming Logic. Additionally, the 1746-ITB16 has optical coupling, along with filter circuitry, for reducing signal noise.
