The PLC 1746-NR4 is an analog input module (RTD/resistance) with four inputs belonging to the SLC 500 series. The 1746-NR4 consumes a backplane current of 50 mA at 5 or 24 Volts. Its input types are platinum (100, 200, 500 or 1000 ohms) 385, platinum (100, 200, 500 or 1000 ohms) 3916, Copper (10 ohms)(426), 120 ohm nickel (618/672), 604 ohms nickel-iron ()518), 150, 500, 1000 and 3000 ohms resistance input.
The 1746-NR4 has a selectable temperature of one degree and 0.1 degree Celsius and a selectable filter frequency of 10 to 250 Hertz. The 1746-NR4 uses a maximum of 25 Ohms per 308.4 meters cable impedance. For data formats, the 1746-NR4 is compatible with raw/proportional, engineering units, engineering units x 10 and scaled-for-PID formats. The 1746-NR4 self-calibrates at power up and/or when a channel is enabled; it also has a user-calibration option.
