AB | 1756-ENBT | ControlLogix Enet/IP Comms Module





The 1756-ENBT is an Ethernet/IP communication module that belongs to the 1756 series of ControlLogix Communication Modules. This module has been designed by PLC and it works as a bridge between two or more devices like, for example, a controller and an I/O module. The PLC 1756-ENBT Ethernet/IP communication module operates with a network protocol that is an open industrial networking standard nowadays, this protocol supports real-time I/O messages and data exchange. This module allows users to connect control I/O and drives and communicate with other Ethernet/IP devices, acting as a bridge to send messages to devices on other networks and as an adapter for I/O on remote links.


The PLC 1756-ENBT Ethernet/IP communication module has a current draw of 700 mA at a voltage of 5.1 Volts DC and 3 mA at 24 Volts DC. It has a power dissipation of 3.7 Watts, a thermal dissipation of 12.6 BTU per hour, and an isolation voltage of 30 Volts. This module has one Ethernet RJ45 Category 5 port and it does not have USB ports. The Ethernet cables can be shielded or unshielded. The PLC 1756-ENBT Ethernet/IP communication module features 64 TCP connections and 128 CIP connections. These CIP connections can be used for any combination of connections on implicit applications. The recommended conditions are a relative humidity of 5 to 95% and an operating temperature of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. This module does not have any kind of enclosure and it can be located In any slot. Due to the nature of the module, it should not be exposed to temperatures higher than the recommended range.
