The Allen-Bradley 1771-DMC is a control coprocessor module. Unlike the traditional programmable controllers, it expands its capability. The module runs C, BASIC, and assembler programs. These allow the module to conduct tasks and applications more efficiently. Communication is technical because it uses the Ethernet or the asynchronous serial communication port in communicating to devices outside the controller system. The module can examine and manipulate the input and output information collected from the controller. Using the features of the C and BASIC programs, the module can compute complex math and algorithms.
