The Allen-Bradley 1771-WHFB wiring arm is a 21-pin PLC-5 fused wiring arm. This PLC-5 series part provides a reliable and flexible interconnection between the sensor and actuator wiring and Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O modules. Its main purpose is to provide fuse protection for each of the 16 outputs. The maximum fuse size for the 1771-WHFB wiring arm is 1.5 Amps, 250 Volts AC rated. Users can order optional fuse kits for Allen-Bradley output modules, and for this particular wiring arm, the 1771-FD2 spare part kit with eight 2AG 1.5 Amps rated fuses (and 2 fuse holders) is recommended. The integral common I/O chassis clamp provides for easy installation and module access. This part has an integral module locking tab to ensure a safe and firm connection. The 1771-WHFB PLC-5 series wiring arm has conformally coated internal parts for durability. This module does not require a power supply. Its shipping dimensions are 4.5 inches by 12.4 inches by 6.3 inches and its total weight is 0.1 kilogram (0.3 pounds).
The Allen-Bradley 1771-WHFB wiring arm has 21 pins designated with the letters A, B, C, D, and E and 16 numbers (1 to 16). The wiring arm provides high flexibility in situations when a fuse needs to be replaced because it does not have to be removed from the I/O chassis to complete this operation. The Allen-Bradley 1771-WHFB wiring arm is compatible with the Allen-Bradley 1771-WH wiring arm, for which it can be used as an alternative or replacement part. The module supports the connections of wires of up to 14 AWG in size, and they can be directly clamped or spade-lugged to the 1771-WHFB wiring arm. The output circuits are individually protected, so if a single circuit is compromised, this will not affect any other output signal.
