The 1786-RPFM is an PLC ControlNet accessory. This module is a Panel Mount / DIN rail mountable device that functions as ControlNet Modular Repeater Medium Distance Fiber Module.
This module is used to for conversion of Cox cable to fiber optic medium with a maximum distance of 3000 meters or 9843 feet. The fiber link provides isolation between connected nodes and provides an increased immunity to noise and electrical disturbances. The fiber link of this module requires use of 62.5/125 micron cable, OM1 multi-mode Fiber optic cable.
The 1786-RPFM is used with the 1786-RPA ControlNet Repeater Adapter module. Up to Four (4) 1786-RPFM may be used with One 1786-RPA. Additionally, mixing repeater types is allowed when assembling a ControlNet network. The maximum allowable total power consumption without damaging the module repeater adapter and nearby modules is 1.6 A @ 5V DC.
