Overview
The Allen-Bradley 2711-K3A17L1 PanelView Standard 300 Terminal is part of the Allen-Bradley PanelView Standard terminal series. It is discontinued, but it can be used for controlling machines and applications with an ATA PC memory card for storing applications. It has a 3-inch monochrome transflective LCD with an LED backlight display with a resolution of 128 x 64 pixels, which makes it ideal for applications in brightly lit locations. The LED backlight of the display lasts for up to 100,000 hours. In addition, it features 8 function keys (F1-F8) which are used for initiating functions on the display. The 2711-K3A17L1’s features also include 4 arrow keys (up, down, left, and right) and a numeric keypad. The 2711-K3A17L1 has an RS-232 port which enables point-to-point communication when it is connected to Channel 0 of an SLC 5/03, SLC 5/04, or an SLC 5/05 controller. In addition, this port allows for application transfer between a personal computer and the PanelView terminal. The RS-232 port enables the PanelView terminal to connect to a printer to print alarm and triggered messages, alarm lists, and the triggered states of a multi-state indicator. This device requires a 24 Volts DC of power with a maximum power consumption of 10 Watts (0.42 Amps at 24 Volts DC). The PanelBuilder32 software works with the 2711-K3A17L1 PanelView Terminal. This software makes it possible to convert and reuse existing applications and the software is compatible with the Microsoft Windows 2000, ME, XP, or Vista operating systems.
