The 271P-K4M5D is a PanelView Plus 400 operator terminal. This is an electronic device that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley, mainly used for implementing centralized and real-time monitoring and control of industrial machines and processes. The 271P-K4M5D comes with a 3.8-inch Grayscale passive matrix, film compensated super-twist nematic (FSTN) screen. It is embedded with a keypad assembly that is composed of Eight (8) Fully programmable Function Keys (F1 to F8), numeric and navigation keypads. The function keys support local and global configuration to achieve operational flexibility. Each of the keys is designed to be actuated up to 1 million presses at an actuation rating of 340g. The provided communication interface is a single RS232, 9-pin D-shell connector that supports the DF1 protocol. With this communication port, point-to-point communication can be achieved with a maximum distance of 15 meters. The 271P-K4M5D has 5 MB memory (Series A) and 10 MB (Series B) and supports the installation of up to 512 MB External CompactFlash memory. It also has a battery-backed clock with an accuracy of +/-2 minutes per month. This operator terminal is powered by an external 18-30 VDC supply voltage with a nominal value of 24 VDC. It has a rated power consumption of 25 Watts or 1.0 Ampere at 24 VDC. The 271P-K4M5D is intended to be operated at a temperature range of 0-55 Degree Celsius while the device’s storage temperature requirement is -25 to 70 Degree Celsius.
