Overview
The Allen-Bradley 8500-HDIO CNC High-Density I/O Module is a microprocessor-based circuit board intended to receive 2 inputs and send 1 output in interaction with a computer numerical control system like those that are used for automated machine tools as 3D printers, lathes, or drills. The Allen-Bradley 8500-HDIO CNC High-Density I/O Module is installed inside a tough metallic case that is designed and manufactured for easy installation in the CNC machine it is meant to control. Nevertheless, the manufacturer strongly recommends mounting the I/O module inside a properly protected enclosure or panel too because of its low environmental protection rating of IP 20. The operating temperature of this module should always remain between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius (32 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit), and the relative humidity inside the cabinet housing the module should be kept in the range of 5 to 95% (non-condensing).
