Product Description:
The AO820 Bipolar Analog Output Module has 4 bipolar current or voltage outputs.
The choice of either current or voltage output is configurable per channel. Outputs
are individually galvanically isolated. State of outputs can be set to a predetermined
(OSP) value if a communication error is detected. Nominal output range are:
-20... +20 mA, 0(4)... +20 mA, -10... +10 V, 0(2)... +10 V.
The AO820 Analog Output Module has 4
bipolar analog output channels. The choice of
current or voltage output is configurable for
each channel. There are separate sets of
terminals for voltage and current outputs, and it
is up to the user to wire outputs properly.
The only differences between current or voltage
channel configuration is in software settings.
To supervise the communication to the A/Dconverters the output data is read back and
verified. The open-circuit diagnostics are read
continuously as well.
The process voltage supervision input give
channel error signals if the voltage
disappears. The error signal can be read via the
ModuleBus.
The Channel diagnostics include fault detection of the channel (only reported on
active channels). The error is reported if the output current differ from the output set
value (that is, open wire condition).
