The Allen-Bradley 1747-KE is a DH-485 / RS-232C interface module.The 1747-KE functions as a bridge to connect DH-485 networks and devices which require DF1 protocol. The DF1 port on the 1747-KE may be configured for RS-232/423, RS-422, or RS-485 devices. The 1747-KE can be used as an interface device by connecting remote DH-485 networks to a central host by a modem.The types of modems which the 1747-KE supports are manual, DTE controlled answer, auto answer, and direct connect.
