The Allen-Bradley 1747-SCNR is a ControlNet Scanner for the SLC platform.  This communication module allows for communication with the SLC processor over the 1746 backplane. Instead of being limited to the ports available with SLC processors, you can add a communication module like the 1747-SCNR for an additional communication port.The 1747-SCNR fits in any slot of a chassis except the most left slot on the first chassis, reserved for the processor.
