The Allen-Bradley 1756-PB75R is a Redundant Power Supply module that is used with the 1756 ControlLogix Programmable Automation Controller (PLC) range. The Allen-Bradley 1756-PB75R ControlLogix Redundant Power Supplies has a power input of 24V DC. The 1756-PB75R provides automatic chassis load sharing between excessive power supplies. The Allen-Bradley 1756-PB75R uses the 1756-CPR2 cable to connect the redundant power supply to the 1756-PSCA2 chassis adapter. The Allen-Bradley 1756-PB75R is a ControlLogix Redundant power supply. This power supply is specifically used to lower the risk of system downtime due to power supply error as this power supply unit when paired to a redundant partner forms a hot-standby assembly wherein one unit acts as stand-by and one unit acts as active power source. A unit automatically takes over in the event of module error.

 

The 1756-PB75R operates when supplied with an input voltage range of 18-32 Volts DC, a nominal supply of 24 Volts DC, and a maximum input power of 110 Watts. This module has an inrush current rating of 30 Amperes, maximum. One major feature of this power supply module is the hold-up time duration of 20 milliseconds.

 

Additionally, the 1756-PA75R has annunciator power of 90 Volts DC for ATEX/IECEx. It also has an isolation voltage rated 250 Volts (continuous), Reinforced Insulation Type, Power Input to Backplane, Power Input to Annunciator, and Annunciator to Backplane Type tested at 3250 Volts DC for 60 seconds.

 

The 1756-PA75R redundant power supply is compatible for installation in 1756 chassis such as 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, 1756-A17. For input supply wiring, applicable cable for use is 2.5 mm2 (14 AWG) solid or stranded copper wire with insulation rating of 90 °C (194 °F), or greater, with maximum insulation thickness of 1.2 millimeters (3/64 inches).
