Project summary:

The Yixing Sports Center are oval closed circles, and the two parts of the East and West are connected by a corridor. After completed of the first phase of the project on December 26, 2003. It has held lots of events such as The National Athletics Grand Prix and other large-scale sports events and the "Golden Pottery" New Year's Day large-scale cultural evening.

The idea of arcology city is mainly adopted in the whole project. Its membrane roofs look like two pieces of leaves landing lighty over the petallike stands. The new image with reasonable funtion and original idea has merged into Yixing city’s culture.Still now,it also looks fine.

1. Cost-effective: About 1/3 to 1/2 lower than conventional structures on costs;

2. Short Construction time: Half time is saved compared to the traditional buildings;

3.Various Shape: Changeful supporting structure can make  lots of different shapes of membrane structure with flexible membrane;

7.Large Span:The largest span of Tension membrane structures can exceed to 200m.
