Full Description:

A missing I/O module error (no FEC response or wrong type) occurs when the IMFEC1
address (set by dipswitch S1 on the module) does not match the I/O module address in the control module configuration (function code 132). 

This error appears in the status bytes of the control module (bytes three through five). A missing I/O module error sets byte three equal to 03 and bytes four and five equal to the block number of the missing I/O module.
