The 3300 XL 11 mm proximity sensor system consists of the following components:
3300 XL 11 mm Probe
3300 XL 11 mm Extension Cable
3300 XL 11 mm Proximitor® Sensor
The output of the 3300 XL 11 mm proximity sensor system is 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil). This output is used for non-contact vibration and displacement measurements on fluid film bearing machines. The 11 mm large probe tip allows the sensor system to provide a longer linear range compared to our standard 3300 XL 8 mm sensor system. It is primarily used in applications requiring a longer linear range, such as:
Axial (thrust) position measurements
Differential expansion measurements for steam turbines
Rod position or rod drop measurements for reciprocating compressors
Tachometer and zero-speed measurements
Phase reference (Keyphasor®) signal
The 3300 XL 11 mm Proximitor sensor is designed to replace the 7200 series 11 mm and 14 mm sensor systems. When upgrading from the 7200 series system to the 3300 XL 11 mm system, each component must be replaced with 3300 XL 11 mm components. Additionally, the monitoring system must be updated. If using the 3500 monitoring system, the configuration software version must be updated to include the 3300 XL 11 mm sensor system as a compatible option. Existing 3300 monitoring systems may need modification.
