The Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8mm proximity sensor system 330105-02-12-10-02-00 consists of a 3300 XL 8mm probe, a 3300 XL extension cable, and a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor. The output voltage provided by the system is proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface, and static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values can be measured.
The main applications of the system are vibration and position measurements on liquid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and velocity measurements. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5 m system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute (API) standard 670 (4th edition) for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
