The SM 10/20-TA 055128-111 is DC Servo Module. The valve operation is based on the force of a proportional solenoid opposing the force of the spring. Solenoid force can be adjusted to provide a given spring compression, resulting in a given displacement (position).
Valves with a position control capability meet the most demanding requirements for accuracy, reproducibility, hysteresis etc., whereas those without it constitute an inexpensive alternative in return for reduced performance.
