Application
The machine is used to test rubber and polyurethane to assess its wear resistance in
everyday wear. The testing principle is very simple.
Structure & Principle
The 150mm diameter cylinder is driven by a precision AC motor with variable speed
control and rotates at a speed of 40 revolutions per minute.
Use double-sided adhesive to attach a specified P60 sandpaper to the cylinder. Insert a
fixed-size cylinder sample into the sample frame and use the integral rangefinder to
adjust and set its outstretched length. The sample holder (fixed or rotating) moves at
a speed of 0.32 m/s on the surface of the sandpaper with a load force of 5 or 10 newtons
and a set distance. The sample can move 10, 20, 30 and 40 meters with an adjustable
rotating CAM. After the test, the samples were taken off and weighed and calculated to
determine the loss.
Then, the wear resistance of the tested compound was determined by comparing the test
results with the data of the comparison compound.
