The PR6423/010-010 is a eddy current sensor, this sensor is designed for critical turbo machinery applications such as steam, gas and hydro turbines, compressors, gearboxes, pumps and fans to measure radial and axial shaft dynamic displacement; position, eccentricity and speed.

 

The epro Axial Vibration Sensor consists of three parts: the sensor, the extension cable, and the preamplifier.The sensor uses eddy current detection technology to convert the detected distance signal into a standardized voltage output that is sent to a monitor for monitoring and output.

When ordering, you must select the sensor's mounting thread form, thread length, metal armor, intermediate connector, extension wire length, and preamplifier type. Sensor thread form is used for the specification of the mounting threads when the sensor is fixed on the bracket, and there are two sizes to choose from: Metric: M10*1, Imperial: 3/8"-24 UNF. Thread length is used for adjusting the distance between the probe surface and the bracket when mounting, and the longer the length, the longer the adjustable length. What must be noted is whether the installation space can accommodate a longer probe body. Metal armor refers to the stainless steel metal protective sleeve outside the extension cable. Optional 1m joints on the sensor extension cable, the purpose of the joints is to facilitate the installation, if the sleeve type bracket, you must choose the sensor with an intermediate joint. The preamplifier is available in explosion-proof class type CON011 or standard preamplifier CON021. When eddy current sensors are used for shaft vibration measurements, the sensors of the PR6423 series with a probe diameter of 8 mm and a linear operating range of 2 mm are usually selected.
