SELECTING THE CORRECT FIBER OPTICS CABLE
Fiber Opstic Cable is widely used in optical path active connections and can be used in fiber-optic communication systems, fiber access networks, LANs, fiber-optic sensors, fiber-optic data transmission, fiber-optic CATV, test equipment, and more. There are many types of fiber optic connectors, and they are not interchangeable with each other.
Common fiber connectors commonly found in network engineering are:
1. FC type optical fiber jumper (including metal sleeve, fixed with screws, can be used for the wiring frame);
2. SC type fiber jumper (rectangular case, plug-and-pin type fixed for router switch);
3. LC type fiber jumper (usually used to connect SFP module, modular jack RJ, router is commonly used)
4. ST type fiber jumper (round shell, screw fastening, commonly used for fiber distribution frame)
