Melamine is an organic compound with a uniform structure. Its mostly iused as a raw material for the production of melamine-formaldehyde resin (MF). The melamine resin is resistant to water, heat, arc, aging, flame retardant. With good gloss and mechanical strength, melamine formaldehyde resin is widely used in wood, plastics, coatings, paper, textile, leather, electrical and other industries.
Physical Properties: white crystalline powder, non-toxic, odorless.
Density: 1570kg/m3
Melting point: under normal pressure, 354 degrees decomposition, sublimation
Specific heat: 1.437kj/kg degrees
Solubility: soluble in glycerol
Chemical Properties: Melamine is weakly alkaline and can react with various acids to form melamine salt. In strong acid or strong alkali solution, melamine is hydrolyzed, amino group is gradually replaced by hydroxy group to form melamine diamide, melamine monoamide and cyanuric acid. Melamine reacts with an aldehyde to form an addition compound. In fact, the reaction of melamine and formaldehyde in water and liquid is the most important.
Application: It's mostly used as a raw material for the production of melamine-formaldehyde resin (MF). The resin is resistant to water, heat, arc, aging, flame retardant, good gloss and mechanical strength, and is widely used in wood, plastics, coatings, paper, textile, leather, electrical and other industries.
Melamine Formaldehyde Resin Powder is made from melamine formaldehyde resin and
alpha-cellulose. This is a thermosetting compound that is offered in various
colors. This compound has outstanding characteristics of molded articles,
wherein resistance against chemical and heat are excellent. Furthermore,
hardness, hygiene and surface durability are also very good. Therefore, it's widely used for manufacturing food grade tableware, dinnerware and serving trays for restaurant and house hold use.
